Mizell was a small community in Georgia, located in Taylor County. It is located about five miles west of Butler. It was home to a railroad depot and just a handful of people.
The Mizell Contracting Company got its start on October 26, 1979. This company planted most of the pine trees in Taylor County and surrounding counties. The company was started by original CEO,Austin E Guinn Jr., CFO Cathy Guinn Mathis,and Secretary Austin E Guinn III (Ed)
The Company no longer plants pine trees, but the farmland off of Highway 96 has become the perfect location for breeding beautiful and healthy Boykin Spaniels.
